Kobe Bryant is "The Black Mamba" Directed by Robert Rodriguez

Nike continues to grow more and more creative with their ad campaign's. A few months back we featured the "Boom Campaign Commercial" starring Rick Ross which was pretty fresh. However, it pails in comparison to the Robert Rodriguez directed "The Black Mamba" featuring Kobe Bryant. The first trailer from this campaign features the 70's style cinematic visuals Rodriguez has popularized with numerous films, the latest being "Machete" (a few actors from the film actually appear in this clip). Check out Kobe (rockin' his custom Nike Destroyer jacket) in his latest endeavor with longtime collaborator Nike Sportswear.

Nike Air Max 90 Pecan/Black

The Air Max 90 is by far one of Nike's best shoes in my opinion. This classic design is synonymous amongst sneakerheads everywhere. That being said, when new colorways drop they aren't around very long. I suspect the same from the latest drop which features pecan leather, black trim, and strong royal blue accents. A must have for Air Max 90 lovers out there.

Now available at Titolo.

Nike Air Royal Mid Black/Vibrant Blue

I had a very strong feeling that the Nike Air Royal would become a very popular shoe. I didn't however imagine it would be so highly sought after in such a short period of time. A few months ago we showed you the Nike/Harris Tweed Air Royal now we have something just as fresh for you to preview.

The new Air Royal colorway keeps it basic yet sleek with rich black leather, vibrant blue accents on the laces, heel, and tongue. Also noticeable are the silver outdoor eyelets. For a shoe with such high expectations the Air Royal knocked it out of the park with this one. Available now at Cali Roots.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI Grinch Edition

If you're anything like me, you will be glued to the tube all day tomorrow for some great NBA action! You would also be checking out all the players feet to see if they are rocking anything special for the holiday's. Kobe will definitely be rocking something, well, different.

Please refrain from adjusting the color on your LED's and LCD's tomorrow while watching the Lakers vs. Heat game, all is fine. Its just the Nike Zoom Kobe VI Grinch Edition shoes. Kobe will attempt to play Grinch tomorrow and rob Lebron James and the Miami Heat of a Christmas Day win against his Lakers. We'll see if the Black Mamba and his scaly snake-like shoes are enough to lift his team over the streaking Heat. Should be a good one!

Update: This shoe will be available at select retailers on 12/26.

Nike Sportswear is definitely keeping it fresh for the ladies this Fall. Not only fresh but unique as well. The three shoes pictured above are all made in part with recycled magazines, shredded and reconvened to create the Flash Macro Premium, Blazer Mid Premium, and the Air Rift Premium.

Much like some of our processes at Kirin, each piece in this limited collection varies from one another. Due to the creative nature of this project the one-of-a-kind look of each shoe is very alluring. Finally ladies, a shoe made just for you! The Nike Sportswear Women's Premium Print Pack will be available at several premium retail locations in Europe, China, and choice locations in the states starting January 1st, 2011.

Nike Air Royal Mid "Your Time Will Come"

A few months ago we featured the Nike Sportswear x Harris Tweed Air Royal which generated quite a buzz. Today we bring you yet another standout this time from the Spring 2011 Air Royal collection. A solid colorway with strong boot aesthetics, this shoe features rich tan leather, a wheat upperdeck, and the slogan of the shoe tagged on the tongue. Nice kicks that are both casual and street. We like...

Stussy X Nike All Court Mid Supreme

As a part of the 30th Anniversary Collection, legendary streetwear brand Stussy has teamed up with Nike to create the All Court Mid Supreme in Mysto Blue. The black leather version leaked a few days ago but I have to say, I like this colorway better. The shoe is very vibrant and features a brown suede reptilian-style swoosh, white sole, and mysto blue fabric. Such a great all purpose shoe. No release date just yet but there will be limited run so stay tuned for more details.

With one look at this sneaker its an immediate success as it mimics the highly popular Nike Dunk. The shoe features rich leather, a nylon panel, and camouflage accents on the interior of the sneaker. There are two colorways and both are available tomorrow at Foot Patrol and SIX FEET DOWN. Dope shoe.

Lebron James "Who Should I Be" Nike Commercial

On the eve of the 2010-2011 NBA season most fans aren't talking about the season itself but the leagues reigning MVP, Lebron James. A new Nike commercial hit the airwaves today featuring James questioning why we question his decisions. Some believe its just a marketing ploy for the upcoming season while others (like myself) see it as damage control for an image that was tarnished during the off season when Lebron left his hometown team for south beach and the Miami Heat. Either way, its a dope commercial and heightens the anticipation for both the new season and Lebron's quest for redemption. Check it out.

Nike Aina Chukka

I am very impressed with the new Nike Aina Chukka. It's a very sophisticated shoe. Premium leather with burgundy trim and an aqua marine blue sole. Each side of the shoe features one of my favorite trends normally seen in cuffs and other leather goods, the basket weave. Great Fall shoe for any sneakerhead. Now available at SIX FEET DOWN boutique in Stockholm.

Nike Sportwear x Harris Tweed Air Royal

A cool shoe is a cool shoe no matter how its constructed. That being said, I never thought I would see a cool shoe made partly with tweed. Nike has proven me wrong by collaborating with Scottish fabric manufacturer Harris Tweed to do just that. The Air Royal is extremely hot in my opinion. Classic, yet innovative and possibly groundbreaking. I wouldn't be surprised to see numerous shoes mimic this model in the months to come. Dope shoe! Do you agree?

Supreme Nike SB 94

There has been a lot of talk about the collabo shoe between Supreme and Nike. Sneakerheads have been waiting for this shoe for a while and the opinions range from dope to terrible. The Supreme Nike SB 94 is named after the brands founding year. If your wondering, the shoe will be released in early November in 4 colorways.

At first glance, I'm not crazy about this shoe. Its classic but at the same time a bit dull. That opinion may change when I see them in person. What do you guys think?

Nike x Rick Ross Boom Commercial

Its pretty obvious Rick Ross is at the height of his popularity. That fact was made resoundingly clear when Nike came knocking for the Teflon Don to be a part of their new "Boom" commercial campaign. Pretty dope commercial. Do you think he did a good job? Check it out after the jump.

Prime Time

Its extremely weird but I remember my school days by the women I dated and the shoes that came out. I can't explain it, that's just the way my mind works. That being said, 1993 was a dope year. My first year in middle school, dating Diana (and Angie), and rockin the first pair of signature shoes by sports icon Deion "Prime Time" Sanders. The original Nike Air Diamond Turf was, and still is, one of my favorite pair of shoes of all time. Everyone wanted them, everyone had them, and everyone bought each colorway that dropped. Thanks to the good folks over at Nike they are back!!! All the OG sneakerheads couldn't be more excited to see these kicks re-released from the Nike vault. I plan on picking up a pair this weekend for my collection and to heed the words of Souls of Mischief, "93 Til Infinity".

Born In The USA

I have quite a few pair of kicks and Nike SB's take on a decent percentage of that inventory. I also have quite a few cds, none of which are E Street Band recordings. However, the combination of the two rolled into this shoe is where I can bridge the gap. Nike is dropping a limited edition shoe dedicated to "The Boss" himself, Bruce Springsteen.
The shoe is fashioned after Springsteen's "Born in the USA" album cover. Red & white stripes and blue denim make this shoe very patriotic and fresh to def! It will be released on July 3rd at the NJ Skateshop. So tell me, is there any better way to celebrate the 4th of July weekend than rockin a new pair of kicks to the barbeque of your choice while banging "Summertime" in your jeep? I think not...

Nike Pop-Up Shop in Tokyo

Over at Kirin Clothing Co we absolutely love pop-up shops! It's a dope way to showcase clothes & kicks outside the normal settings. Nike has done exactly that all over the globe and their lastest stop is Tokyo, Japan. The Nike Sportswear division recently launched their "Write The Future" pop-up shop which is inspired by the 2010 World Cup Championship. It sits right above SOPH and is open from May 8th thru June 11th. For those fortunate souls who will be in Tokyo in the next month or so make it a point to stop by before time runs out!
